Common questions
- Can I buy tires now and pay later in Canada?
- Yes. At checkout you can split the cost of tires, wheels and parts into instalments with Sezzle, Shop Pay Installments or PayPal Pay in 4 β four payments, taken every two weeks, with no interest on those plans. Flexiti and Affirm offer longer monthly terms. All options are subject to approval by the provider.
- Is buy now, pay later interest-free?
- The pay-in-4 plans β Sezzle, Shop Pay Installments and PayPal Pay in 4 β carry no interest when payments are made on schedule. Longer-term financing through Flexiti and Affirm may be interest-free on a promotional plan or interest-bearing depending on the plan and your approval; the provider shows your exact rate, term and total cost before you confirm. Late or missed payments can attract fees from the provider.
- Do I need a credit check to finance tires?
- It depends on the provider. Pay-in-4 plans generally use a soft check that does not affect your credit score. Longer-term financing through Flexiti or Affirm involves a credit application. Each provider makes its own decision and tells you before you commit β Autrex never sees or stores your credit information.
- What is the minimum order to use financing?
- Financing starts from CA$30 on eligible plans. Each provider sets its own minimum and maximum order value, so the options you see at checkout depend on your cart total. A set of four tires or a wheel package comfortably clears every provider's minimum.
- Can I finance winter tires and put them on a payment plan?
- Yes β winter tires and winter tire packages are eligible like any other order. Spreading a winter set over four payments is one of the most common uses of buy now, pay later on Autrex, and there is no surcharge for paying in instalments.
- Can I use buy now, pay later on a wheel and tire package?
- Yes. Package pricing is treated as a single order total, so a mounted-and-balanced wheel and tire package can be split across instalments the same way a single item can. Larger totals typically qualify for the longer-term monthly plans as well as pay-in-4.
- Does financing cost more than paying up front?
- Not on the interest-free plans β you pay the same total, just spread out. On an interest-bearing plan the provider adds the cost of credit, and shows you the total before you agree to it. Autrex charges no fee for using any payment plan.
- What happens to my payment plan if I return something?
- Return the item under the normal 30-day policy and the refund goes back to the provider, which adjusts or cancels your remaining payments. Refund timing follows the providerβs own schedule once we have processed the return.
