Our Story
Autrex is the evolution of Capital Auto Parts, a family business with roots going back to 1967 when Roy Barber opened a full-service gas station on Bank Street in Ottawa. Today, Brian Barber — third-generation automotive — runs the company, having grown it from a $750K shop into a national distributor shipping across Canada.
In 2026 we rebranded to Autrex to reflect what we've become: Canada's most technology-forward auto parts distributor. We run our own AI-powered ERP, import tires directly from factories in China, and operate under private label brands including Bremex (brakes), Tectonic (chassis), and Krypton (wheels).
We're expanding across Canada — Winchester ON is home base, with Ottawa, Cornwall, and more locations on the way. Whether you're a DIY driver, a repair shop, or a fleet operator, we have the parts, the speed, and the expertise to keep you moving.
